James has worked in the Optical industry for over thirteen years. Originally, he began his career working as a technician in an optical lab. An optical lab is where lenses are made for your glasses. He was eventually promoted to be the Optical Lab Manager, where he was responsible for managing ten lab technicians and the overall performance of the lab.

In this role, he gained valuable technical knowledge and ensured that the quality of the spectacle lenses that the lab manufactured exceeded quality standards. James was also responsible for expediting the timeliness of his customer’s orders and managing customer service.

In 2015, driven by his desire to work directly with patients, he took a position in private practice. Most recently, in January of 2020, he joined our team at Optometry at The Shops. Once you meet him, it’ll be obvious to you that James enjoys helping his patients and working with them. When you work with James, to select your frame and lenses, he’ll bring his years of technical knowledge and experience to the table. He’ll make recommendations for you based on the Doctor’s prescription and your specific lifestyle needs.

James and his wife live in Orange County with their two young children, one boy and one girl. He enjoys spending his downtime with his family.
